Everyone wants to be safe, and everyone wants to survive. We don't want to lose our loved ones, and we don't want to lose a family; Discipline is a must. Discipline is important.
Earlier this year, 2021, when an outbreak has reported in different areas of the globe, but as the number of cases increases and causes millions of lives geographically, it became a pandemic. Seeing and listening to the news every day was heartbreaking, for many lives have taken in just a snap. Yet, nobody has prepared for this, and nobody sees it was coming.
What is Covid-19?
According to WHO, Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus. COVID-19 is a disease caused by a virus called SARS-CoV-2. Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. Older people and those with underlying medical problems like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, and cancer are more likely to develop serious illnesses. The best way to prevent and slow down transmission is to be well informed about the COVID-19 virus, the disease it causes, and how it spreads. Protect yourself and others from infection by washing your hands or using an alcohol-based rub frequently and not touching your face.
The COVID-19 virus spreads primarily through droplets of saliva or discharge from the nose when an infected person coughs or sneezes, so it's important that you also practice respiratory etiquette (for example, by coughing into a flexed elbow).
Many things happened in just a year. The occurrence of a pandemic caused not only lives, but the whole economy collapsed, causing private and public businesses to shut down, which leads to the loss of jobs of hundreds of employees. Therefore many families suffer not only the danger of the virus but also hunger. Sadly, even schools enforce to pause to prevent the contagious of the virus. Eventually, they embarked on the implementation of online classes at all levels.
The situation put my family in anxiety due to everything we heard from the news. Currently, we prioritize avoiding getting sick, most especially our two-year-old daughter. As a result of this crisis, my husband decided to work from home to keep himself safe and our family. The contagion of this virus is not a simple cough and colds; it may send you to hospitalization, which will cause you to spend thousands of pennies. This virus thwarts you in many ways, from losing your job to be separated and being unable to visit your family and friends on special occasions that took almost a year.
The entire year has been challenging for us, and we can't anticipate when it will end. Yet, despite the situation, some people continue doing their job to look for a solution and provide us safety measurements for the time being. So, how can we help our community? How can we help ourselves and our loved ones?
These are safety measurements that my family keeps on doing until now. I hope it might help you too:
We cannot tell when things will go back to their normal state, but in the meantime, we need to be disciplined enough to follow simple protocols if we want to save our lives, especially our families. Well, we can't easily say doing these measurements will keep us safe, but it is better than regretting you did not do the right thing to keep you and your family safe. It's hard and painful to lose people in our lives, and it's worthless to spend tons of money to fight this battle. Therefore, learn and encourage everyone to be disciplined.
